Specifies whether VDM engagement metrics collection is enabled.

Engagement metrics provide detailed insights into how recipients interact with your emails, including opens, clicks, bounces, complaints, and delivery rates. This data is essential for understanding email campaign effectiveness and optimizing future communications. Possible values include:

  • ENABLED – VDM collects and displays engagement metrics in the dashboard for analysis.
  • DISABLED – VDM does not collect engagement metrics and dashboard insights are limited. When enabled, engagement metrics appear in the SES console dashboard, providing visual representations of email performance trends, recipient behavior patterns, and deliverability statistics to help improve campaign strategies. Engagement data includes metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, bounce rates, complaint rates, and delivery success rates, all segmented by time periods and filterable by various dimensions.
